Schroders, Krungthai AM launch catastrophe bond funds for ultra-rich
The funds are designed to provide Thai ultra-high net worth clients with their first dedicated access to the niche world of insurance-linked securities, an asset class known for its resilience during economic downturns due to its low correlation with traditional stocks and bonds.
Schroders and Krungthai Asset Management announced the launch of KTAM Catastrophe Bond Fund and KTAM Catastrophe Bond Fund Unhedged in Thailand, providing Thai ultra-high net worth clients with access to insurance-linked securities (ILS), according to the announcement on Monday.
